PM Kisan 21st Installment Date Confirmed? Farmers to Get ₹2,000 Soon. Check Your Name in New List

There is great news for the crores of farmers waiting for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana. The wait for the 21st installment of ₹2,000 is about to end. According to the latest media reports, the central government is in the final stages of preparation to transfer the funds. This money, which provides a crucial support to small and marginal farmers, is expected to be released very soon.

However, this time, the government has become extremely strict. Lakhs of farmers have been removed from the beneficiary list in the past, and reports indicate that more could be cut if they have not completed one mandatory task.

This article will provide you with all the details: the expected release date of the 21st installment, a step-by-step guide to check your name and payment status, and the one critical reason why your ₹2,000 might be stopped—and how to fix it today.

What is the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

Before we get to the 21st installment, let’s understand what this scheme is. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a central government scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2019.

The main objective of the scheme is to provide direct income support to the families of landholding farmers across India. This financial aid helps them take care of expenses related to agriculture and allied activities, as well as domestic needs.

Under this scheme, the government provides ₹6,000 per year to each eligible farmer family. This amount is not given all at once. Instead, it is paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months. The money is transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, which ensures there are no middlemen and reduces corruption.

The BIG News: When Will the 21st Installment Be Released?

As of late October 2025, the central government has not announced an official, fixed date for the release of the 21st installment. However, based on previous payment cycles and recent government activity, there is a strong expectation.

Media reports strongly suggest that the 21st installment will be transferred in the first or second week of November 2025. This timing is significant as it comes just before the Bihar assembly elections, and such major DBT transfers are often timed around important events. The 20th installment was released in August 2025, and the four-month cycle (August -> December) also points to a November/December release.

Farmers are advised to be patient and not fall for fake news or “phishing” messages that ask for your bank details. All official announcements will be made on the PM-KISAN website.

URGENT Warning: Your ₹2,000 May Be Stopped!

This is the most critical part of the update. The government has confirmed that crores of farmers have been removed from the scheme in the last two years. The reason? Not following the mandatory rules.

Your 21st installment will be STOPPED if you have not completed these two essential tasks:

  1. Incomplete e-KYC (Mandatory!) e-KYC stands for “Electronic Know Your Customer.” The government has made it compulsory for every beneficiary to verify their identity by linking their Aadhaar. This is done to prevent fraud and ensure that the money reaches the real farmer and not a fake or “ghost” beneficiary. If your e-KYC is not complete, your name will be on the “stop payment” list.
  2. Aadhaar Not Seeded with Bank Account This is a common point of confusion. Many farmers believe that if their bank account is linked to Aadhaar, their work is done. This is incorrect. Your Aadhaar must be “seeded” with your bank account for NPCI payments (Direct Benefit Transfer). This is a special link that allows the government to send money using just your Aadhaar number. If your account is not seeded, the DBT transfer will fail.

How to Check Your Beneficiary Status (Check Your Name & Payment Status)

Before the money is released, you must check your status to see if you are on the final list and if your account is ready. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the only official PM-KISAN website: pmkisan.gov.in
  2. On the homepage, scroll down to the “Farmers Corner” section. This is your most important tool.
  3. Click on the option that says “Beneficiary Status.”
  4. A new page will open. You will have two options to search:
    • By Mobile Number
    • By Registration Number
  5. If you don’t know your Registration Number, go back to the “Farmers Corner” and click on “Know your Registration No.” You can find it using your mobile number or Aadhaar.
  6. Enter your Registration Number (or Mobile Number) and the captcha code shown in the image.
  7. Click the “Get Data” button.

How to Read Your Status: What Does it Mean?

Your status page will show you three critical things.

  • e-KYC Done: This must say “Yes” (in green). If it says “No,” your money will be stopped.
  • Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding Status: This must also say “Yes.” If it says “No,” the money transfer will fail. You must visit your bank branch immediately.
  • Land Seeding: This should also say “Yes.” If it says “No,” it means your state government has not verified your land records. You must contact your local Agriculture Office or Lekhpal/Patwari to get this corrected.

When the installment is released, this page will also show the payment status, such as “FTO (Fund Transfer Order) is Generated” or “Payment Processed.”

How to Fix Your e-KYC and Bank Seeding Problems TODAY

If your status shows a problem, do not panic. You can fix it.

To Fix e-KYC (Two Methods):

  • Method 1 (Online – Free): If your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card, you can do this from home.
    1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in and click on “e-KYC” in the Farmers Corner.
    2. Enter your Aadhaar Number and click “Search.”
    3. Enter the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
    4. An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to that mobile.
    5. Enter the OTP and click “Submit for Auth.” Your e-KYC is complete.
  • Method 2 (Offline – Recommended): If your mobile is not linked to Aadhaar or you find the online process difficult, this is the best way.
    1. Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or e-Mitra.
    2. Tell them you want to do PM-KISAN e-KYC.
    3. They will complete your e-KYC using your fingerprint (biometric verification).
    4. They may charge a nominal fee (around ₹15-₹20).

To Fix Aadhaar Bank Seeding:

This cannot be fixed online.

  1. You must visit the bank branch where you have your account (the one registered with PM-KISAN).
  2. Meet a bank official and tell them, “I want to seed my Aadhaar with my bank account for NPCI-DBT payments.”
  3. Fill out the Aadhaar Seeding Form (also called a DBT consent form).
  4. Submit it with a copy of your Aadhaar card and bank passbook.
  5. The bank will update your account. This may take 24-48 hours to reflect on the PM-KISAN portal.

Do not wait until the last minute. Check your status today and fix any problems to ensure you receive your ₹2,000 21st installment without any delay.
